We check the crown, cap, masonry and flashing, explain what we find, and repair what needs it. An inspection reports what we can see and reach on the day. It isn’t a safety certification.
We examine the visible condition of your chimney (crown, brick and mortar, flashing and cap) and explain what we find in plain terms.

Most chimney leaks start where the chimney meets the roof. We repair or replace the flashing and seal it properly.
The crown sheds water off the top of the chimney. We repair cracked crowns or rebuild them when repair won't last.
A properly sized cap keeps rain, leaves and animals out of the flue. We measure and install it.
Worn mortar joints are cut out and repointed, and damaged brick is repaired or replaced to keep water out of the masonry.

Yes. We come out, look at the roof or chimney in person, and give you an estimate at no charge.
It depends on the roof’s age, how widespread the damage is and the condition of the wood underneath. One leak around a vent or a few missing shingles is usually a repair. Leaks in several places, curling or brittle shingles, or soft decking usually point to replacement. We’ll show you what we see and tell you honestly which makes sense.
We look at the parts of the chimney we can see and reach: the crown, the cap, the brick and mortar joints, and the flashing where the chimney meets the roof, plus signs of water getting in. We then explain what needs attention and what can wait. An inspection describes the condition of what we examined on that day; it is not a guarantee that a chimney or flue is safe to use.
