The crown is the top of your chimney, and its job is to shed water. We repair cracked crowns, and rebuild them when a repair won't last.

The crown takes direct rain, snow and ice. When it cracks, water goes straight into the chimney structure, and freeze-thaw cycles make the cracks worse each year.
We repair crowns that are still sound, and rebuild crowns that are breaking apart, shaping them to shed water away from the flue and off the sides of the chimney.

We check how widespread the cracking is and the condition of the brick and flue tile beneath it.

Repair or rebuild
Minor cracking can be repaired. A crown that's breaking apart is removed and a new one is formed.

Cap and flashing check
We make sure the cap and flashing are working with the new crown so water is shed properly.
